To be understood by the society that being a single mom is a herculean job but at the end it is a joy and lifetime achievement when your child was raised successfully.
SERVICE – To help one another in all aspects of single motherhood.
SUPPORT – To give emotional, psychological, and financial support for starting mothers from pregnancy to birth-giving, and to train the mother for independent child rearing.
FELLOWSHIP – To give moral support by sharing the pains and joys of being a single mother. Sharing experiences of one another where one can learn.
This organization or foundation is not to encourage women to be single moms but to discourage women accidentally got pregnant not to have abortion or have her child put to adoption. This is to support women with unplanned pregnancy but choose or by circumstances remain single.
1. To develop acquaintances among present single moms in the Philippines.
2. To help new single moms by successful single moms.
3. To conduct seminars for livelihood projects and education for responsible single parenting.
4. To help single moms for employment.
5. To give educational assistance or scholarship to deserving children of a single mom.
Josefina M. Bautista was born on June 17, 1959 at Dagupan City, Pangasinan. She migrated to Baguio City in 1976 and became a resident up to the present. Became a single mom at the age of 32 with 2 boys ages 2 and 7 years old. John Christopher B. Cortez is the youngest and Joseph Christian B. Cortez is the oldest. She raised the two boys all by herself, being hands-on mom, dad, and friend to her children. Christian graduated at U.P. Baguio with Degree of BS Computer Science and now works at CISCO, California, USA. John graduated at University of California-Berkeley with degree of BA in Environmental Economics and Policy, & AB Political Science and now works as financial analyst of UC Berkeley.
She lives by herself now, the reason for founding this charitable foundation. She likes to share the experience of being a successful single mom and to help the single moms raise their child / children successfully and independently.
